'Drug' Made From Human Waste Causing Stink on Web, in Law Enforcement

An implausible story about a natural high derived from human waste is causing a stink on the Internet and has forced a local sheriff's department to issue a warning about the "drug."
The Collier County Sheriff's Office in Tampa, Fla., recently released a bulletin warning of a new drug threat in America — jenkem — made by fermenting human feces and urine and huffing the gas produced.
"We wouldn't classify it as a drug so much because it's feces and urine," said Garrison Courtney, a spokesman for the Drug Enforcement Administration in Washington, D.C.
"You've pretty much hit the bottom of the barrel if you're experimenting this," he added.
The confidential memo, dated Sept. 26, was meant "for officer safety and awareness," but it was leaked and found its way online, where it was posted Monday on the Smoking Gun, which questioned "what they're inhaling down in Collier County."

I just can not understand how people come up with these things! The sad part is their are people who would do anything if they thought it would get them high. What is this world coming to?

I wanna' know who the first person was that decided to try this ! Kids are always trying to get high off some CRAP but, who knew that they would actually move onto crap !

It kind of lends new meaning to the phrase "Let me hit that *****, man!!" If you reasearch this supposedly it started in the poorest counties in Africa. Why the hell kids are doing it here is beyond me. The fact is the materials needed are very readily available and this could turn into a big problem. But lets hope not, for our kids sake.

It kind of lends new meaning to the phrase "Let me hit that *****, man!!" If you reasearch this supposedly it started in the poorest counties in Africa. I remember when I was in junior high, there was a boy that bragged about smoking cigarettes coated in toothpaste and I thought THAT was desperate ! That boy is now in jail for murder ! I'm not saying that his toothpaste-smoking had to do with his choice to murder .....

Some kids will do ANYTHING to feel high.... on one of the sites I found on "jenkems" somebody said "remember the good ole days when kids just smoked weed to get high ?"... I don't condone kids getting high but, that line did make me laugh.
