OH Goodness Jo Momma I will fly you in, put you up at the local Redneck Inn and PAY you to let me babysit. LOL, OMG I guess in this day and age that makes me sound like an offender! It is terrible that what was good about this world we live in has turned to mistrust and evil.

Having three girls myself....now 20, 18, and 10....I just had to come by and say "congratulations"! Two of mine have the middle name "Rae", like your little sweetie.... I have Lauren Elizabeth, Lindsey Rae.....and then when our surprise 3rd baby was born, we had been told she was a BOY, so we had only boy names picked out! (OOops- and only boy colors in sleepers and such!). So, we decided that she belonged to the whole family, so we took Lauren's middle name and Lindsey's middle name, and named her Elizabeth Rae, and we call her Libby for short (my great-grandma was an Elizabeth known as Libby). Girls are the best....people always say "oh, it's a shame you have all girls. You need a boy!" but my husband and I are thrilled with our gorgeous girls....and I'm happy that he's not one of those macho "I must have a son" types. So, enjoy your girl......play house and Barbie with her....and read her lots of books!! I started when mine were just infants and never regretted it, because all 3 LOVE to read, and that's always a good thing! They grow up too fast, so enjoy!

Latrobe, thats so funny that your girls are named Rae b/c I thought it was a rare name for a girl. I named her that b/c my best friend's (since we were in kindergarten) middle name is Rae and she was named that b/c it was her DAD's middle name, LOL. I think it's an awesome name for a girl, very unique and original !
Gacountry, I'm loving the stuff that your putting up ! My babies won't be babes for as long as I can help it, lol.... I know that never works.
Thanks sweetgranny and One2snoop for the congrats !!!! We're very proud of her.... she's our 2nd girl (4th baby though !) but, considering that our other daughter is 8... having a baby girl feels so new again !

Thanks so much Athena !!!!
Thankyou FD, your absolutely right about baby girls .... I do love my boys but, a girl brings so much sweetness into the house. Both of my boys are not into being cuddled or kissed on anymore but, I can still rely on my 8 yr. old daughter to always be my cuddler. And now I have another cuddlebug (I hope so, anyway).

Ryver's doing great.... she's finally staying awake and looking around more often. She has the neatest expressions, she doesn't have a blank look.... she has this look like she's already seen it all . She's really easy going for a newborn, I got very lucky with this one.
She has the funniest hair..... she's actually bald on top like a man, LOL ! She has a fair amount of hair on the sides and in the back but, NONE on top. She looks like the cutest little old man I've ever seen, LOL . She's putting on weight really well too, she was so wrinkly at first, now she's filling out her own skin finally. Oh and she pooped on me yesterday.... no parent/child relationship is complete until you've been pooped or pee'd on, lol. I knew it was only a matter of time !
FDinlaw..... believe it or not, I've been feeling very rested, I haven't even needed a nap (I do take 1-2 a week though)! She wakes up every 1-3 hr.'s to eat during the day but, she only wakes up every 4 hr.'s at night. Also, we're breastfeeding so, it's so much easier.... all I have to do is bring her to my room and I can lay down to nurse her (I'm too afraid to fall asleep though). I pump my milk too so, James (my husband) usually does one feeding a night too.
So far this has to be the easiest baby yet ! Motherhood (for me) definitely gets easier with each kid. Oh, and this is our LAST baby... I love being a mom and 4 is the perfect number of kids for our family.
I'm going to take more pic.'s soon to put up here. It may take awhile b/c I don't have a digital camera and have to have all my pics put on disc.

And this is Christian..... he went through this phase where he would climb into the toilet every chance he could get so, one day I called my mother (who lived next door at the time) and had her rush over and take this picture....... he went straight to the tub afterwards, LOL.

And, here's the whole gang together playing outside...... Ashton has a mohawk b/c he decided he needed a haircut (I left the hair clippers out in the bathroom, BIG MISTAKE) and he took a chunk out of the side of his hair so, I gave him a mohawk b/c I couldn't stand to shave it all off.

FDinlaw, I think it's great that you have a large family too ! I understand what you mean about "that is the plan".... I didn't have my tubes tied after Ryver b/c even though I plan to stop at 4, I don't want to do anything that drastic just in case we decide to have another further down the road. My mom had my little brother after myself and my other 2 brothers were teenagers and I wouldn't want to rule out my chance to have maybe one more later in life..... but, I'm still not planning to have anymore. Also, I'm afraid of messing with my body too much and the idea of having a tubal scares the mess out of me.... I can barely even stand the thought of pumping my body with hormone-altering drugs to prevent pregnancy, lol.
My husband and I like having a big family and being a stay at home mom.... but, we made sure we could afford the ones we have... anything past 4 might be more than we can handle financially.

I had a weird problem that cost me about 140 bucks to get help with LOL.
I put a sticky trap in the Utility Room because I thought I saw a mouse. I did.
He pulled the trap behind the washer and commenced to have the last laugh. Not only did he die but he chewed a wire into and I had to call a repairman. Moral to lesson: That little fried mouse was not hurting me until I declared WAR, then he got me good, bet the rascal died laughing!
~~~~Sure hope our beautiful Jo_Momma and her wonderful children are happy and safe tonight. It is cold in South Geiorgia~~~
LOL.... when my daughter was 4, my husband and I found all sorts of food (from the fridge and freezer that had gone missing) in her bathroom cabinet ! She was smuggling food in the middle of the night.... I suppose she was preparing just in case we decided to stop feeding her, LOL.
Theres a fly spray you could try but, the fumes will run your whole family out of the house.
I used to make my kids go to their rooms and write me a paragraph about why they were sent there. I have some of the funniest notes which I have saved and one Christmas I brought them out and read them. We all howled. The bottom line was each felt that if they were an only child, life would have been more pleasant. (OK, which kid to kill):shrug:
Try putting a bowl of apple cider vinegar near the infestation. They seem to be attracted to that.
Fruit flies are the WORST....but there is hope! I wish I could remember the name of this gadget, but maybe your local hardware store will know what you're talking about! :shrug: It's this jar with a special lid....insects can get in, but not out....and you "bait" it with the stuff fruit flies love....I had one years ago and baited mine with bread soaked in beer, and every last fruit fly went into this thing within a day or so. It worked so great! I'm so sorry I don't know the name of it....but ask at the hardware store, maybe they'll know. It's worth a shot, anyway...
Although I am enjoying my life as a Senior Citizen (except the bad days), the best time of my whole life was when I held each of my three babies in my arms when they were born, and all the fun I had with them until they were teenagers. Now that they are mature, I like them again. When my 6'2" son walks into my house, I see that little baby in my arms even now!
Enjoy every second with your new little precious baby girl!
