My son has a bird just like this one called Chaunsey. I went out to CA for Christmas two years ago with his wife and family, and we took Chaunsey in the car with his other pets to his wife's parent's house. Chaunsey got sick on my son's shoulder about 20 minutes into the ride! Chaunsey got into the Christmas music and did the same thing on the floor of the family room! We didn't video it, but I was so amazed by this bird! And a bird getting into the beat with Santa Claus is coming to town was hysterical!

Cockatoos are so smart and sensitive. Their sensitivity accounts for the huge number in rescue who are plucked or who self mutilate. The slightest change can send them off in a downward spiral.
Sorry not trying to change the upbeat post. I been working with foster parrots for 17 years, and have seen some horrible cases. :shrug:

It was pretty cool how it danced, and it seemed like an okay bird to me.

In general I dislike birds, though. But they are great fun to hunt. Another plus except the fun of hunting is that my cats get themselves a free meal.

I'm new to the Crimelibrary forums, by the way. And I have to say I highly enjoy reading Crimelibrary's serial killer articles.

I have 3 parrots...and they are some of the most unique and beautiful creatures that God ever created...

I have a Green Cheeked Amazon...got him when he was about 9 months old and he's now 26...His name is Byron...

I have a Congo African Grey...got him when he was 5 weeks old and he's now 11 years old...I named him Elvis...

And I have a Blue & Gold Macaw...a friend gave him to me after deciding he no longer wanted him...he got him when he was less than a year old and he is now 32...I've had him 8 years...His name is Basil...

They're messy, love to throw food from their cages, they're loud...love to screech, squawk, sing, cackle, whistle, talk...they're just plain rowdy! :D But I love them all and can't imagine my life without them! :)
