Two arrested in noose incidents Alexandria, LA

ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana (CNN) -- A Louisiana city that hosted many of the "Jena 6" protesters Thursday became the site of a racially charged incident of its own.

Authorities in Alexandria, less than 40 miles southwest of Jena, arrested two people who were driving a red pickup Thursday night with two nooses hanging off the back, repeatedly passing groups of demonstrators who were waiting for buses back to their home states.

As officials were questioning the driver, he said he had an unloaded rifle in the back of the truck, which police found. They also found a set of brass knuckles in a cup holder on the dashboard, the police report said. Watch what police found on the truck »

The passenger told police he and his family are in the Ku Klux Klan and that he had KKK tattooed on his chest, the police report said. He also said that he tied the nooses and that the brass knuckles belonged to him, the report said.

After the arrests, Roy came out to address the crowd and apologized, saying he does not condone racism, Love said.

Love added, "If the police had not stepped in, I fear what might have happened."

Well if you had read the article you would have known they were not from this area but from the JENA, LA area where many have came online and said Jena is not a racial town. I guess they forgot they weren't in Jena anymore when they decided to pull this prank. JMHO

This is just what I said in my earlier post. I do believe the white boys were taunting the black boys and it could possible be some thing to do with the KKK. I am so glad this happened to show Jena is living in the dark ages so to speak.:shrug:

I think this will really help this case because of the fact what this case was all about from the beginning. FBI said they don't prosecute juvey's for hate crime but you got an 18 year old and a 16 year old from the Jena area that went to another parish to taunt the ones that traveled across the country to protest the justice system in Jena. One is an adult will be interesting to see what the FBI does since the Justice Dept, clearly stated hanging a noose is a hate crime but the main thing is the noose incident in Jena has not taught them anything. These 2 boys sure did not help Jena in anyway and the truth is yes it will help the Jena 6 case. JMHO

Just another thing to think about only one person said they saw Purvis kick Justin but no one else saw it. Don't you find that odd that Justin said 15 guys beat him up and only 6 were arrested and one was with witnesses that said Purvis wasn't in the fight? Out of 15 only 6 was arrested but afterall who should we believe when 2 kids from the Jena area go to another parish hanging nooses from their trucks. Like it or not it started with this and they did it in front of the whole world and now it isn't so long ago this happened as you say it just happened AGAIN! JMHO

Not according to the FBI, the US Attorney's office(investigation conducted by a black man), the school, the Sheriff's department and the 40 or so witness that were even tangently related to the actual attack by the Jenna 6.

Well thank you very much for that info because out of 40 witnesses only one out of 40 saw Purvis kick Justin. It only takes one witness to get arrested for a crime and yet the one who got beat up said there was 15 so out of 40 witnesses only 6 were picked out...how did they pick them out with 40 witnesses watching?
