TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — An 11-month-old boy was fatally beaten at a home day center, and authorities have charged a 9-year-old boy also attending the day care with the death and the center's owner with putting the child in harm's way.
Authorities said the older boy repeatedly hit Tahir Francis in the head a week ago, causing skull fractures. Tahir was taken to a hospital and died about six hours later while undergoing surgery.
"I want to know what kind of home the 9-year-old comes from," father Tafawah Francis told The Associated Press on Thursday. "He doesn't understand, you can't do these things to a baby."

The father asks a good question, what kind of home did that boy come from? I felt sick after reading this story. 9 years old! I'm both angered and saddened.

Hi DDK,
Thanks For this info.
There are alot of thing I do not understand. I might have missed them in the article and if so please let me know O.K.? First of all I would like to know what what the boy used to strike the baby in the head with ? If the head injuries were the cause of the death you would think there would be visible signs to the baby's head from where he was struck. How did they know the baby received the injuries the week before that fatal day ? If this is so what triggered the baby's death on that day while he was at the day care ? Did anyone actually is the incident ? Did they 9 yr. old tell them he did this ? So many questions. Is there a video camera in the basement ?
I hope that soon we will have more details to go with this case. I am sure they will fill in alot of my blanks or my questions:confused:

A lot of very interesting points you raise Dallas.
It would appear that there is a lot of information that must be known (for why else charge the 9 year old boy), that has not been made public.
I will see if I can find anything else.
ETA: All the news reports I have found so far are exactly the same!

This is horrific, one line sticks out " the nine year old did not understand that you can't do this to babies"
It makes me wonder what his upbringing must have been like if he does not think that what he did was wrong

I don't see how a kid that old could NOT understand that what he did was wrong. Was I comprehending that correctly? Was it the father of the victim who said that? Maybe I read it wrong. From that statement, it sounds to me like that's going to be the defense for this kid and that someone has said this to the victims.
Unless this kid is severly mentally disabled, I hope the book is thrown directly at his head. I'm in the minority on this one, I know, but I thik it's a damn shame this little monster will most likely walk out scot free by the time he hits his 18th birthday.
This is way off topic, but what was the name of the kid who killed the other kid and claimed it was an accident, that they were playing a wrestling game? They let him out and he shot somebody!!!:flamemad:
I'm so sick of kids literally getting away with murder!! That little baby had no chance against him and now the little monster has destroyed a family. Little punk probably knows what the laws are!!
:flamemad:Okay, I'll stop now....
And where were the daycare providers anyway!?!? I hope that book nails them too!!
