"We have some evidence found at the scene, including some blood samples found near the bodies, that we want to confirm with DNA testing. "However, at this point, we have not found any evidence that tells us this was not a murder-suicide. We just want to cover all bases before the case is closed." The DNA tests, however, will not be performed by the GBI. Fayette County will have to send the samplesto another lab -- probably of out state, according to Capt Mike Hattaway. "The GBI is confident this was
a murder-suicide, and therefore, have said they will not be performing any DNA tests," said Hattaway.Ballard said he hopes to get some more answers from the autopsy report which he expects to be released by the GBI within the next week.

This does make a person wonder! Did Chris have any injuries to his body to produce these blood samples? This article also states 'found near the bodies'
that is puralized, I could understand by Nancy's body as she was reported to have had an injury to her head, but both bodies! Did Nancy injure him to the point he was still bleeding, several hours til Daniel died? Or was Nancy in Daniel's room that night and it was her blood they have found? Could even mean Chris went to Daniel's room after Nancy's death and transported the blood either from an injury to himself or Nancy. I do not know if medical science can prove the age of blood samples, but it seems that if DNA comes back stating the sample belonged to a family member in the house, that would not necessarily mean there is proof of what the activities in that house were!
