In 1988 two BBC members Arben Dosti and Reza Eslaminia were convicted of having something to do with the killing and trying to obtain the assets of Reza's father.
(I read Power Priviledge and Justice by Randall Sullivan)
Well in 1998 they were both released on a technicality.
It seems that there was an audio tape admitted into evidence that had on the other side of it Reza's brother talking about Reza.
Because the "interview" with Reza's brother was not formally entered into evidence the conviction was overtuned because it was found that the jurors listened to the tape.
They were released from prison in 1998.
The reason all charges were dropped was because the main witness against them and Joe Hunt was Joe's best friend who received immunity from prosecution and was admitted to the federal witness protection program.
Since he cannot be found legally, they had no choice but to drop all charges because they could not cross examine him.
They are both free today though Reza ended up back in jail on drug charges for about a year, he's out now.
Hunt remains in jail to this day (about 20yrs)
He married in prison in 1993 to the woman who was his paralegal during his trial for his role in Reza's father's death.
The jury sided with Hunt 8-4 not guilty and the state dropped all charges.
He's still in jail for the Ron Levin case though.
I don't know anything else.
This information is on Google.
One more tidbit, Hunt's wife was friends with Erik Menendez's wife.
Last I heard she worked for Eric's wife in a pet store she opened.
