Here we have an interesting case over in North Carolina. According to reports by jdnews.com, 65-year-old Marcus Shrader is awaiting word from the parole commission to see if he will be earning an early release. Shrader received the death penalty in 1974, however in 1976 that sentence was converted to life. If his parole is granted he will have to serve an additional sentence for a 1974 bank robbery conviction, however according to District Attorney Dewey Hudson he probably won't be required to serve the full 20 year sentence for that crime. Shrader's former wife and step-daughter are both afraid he will come after them when he is released.
“If he gets out, he will kill us,” she said. “He has had (32) years to plan it. I don’t care what anybody tells me. He killed before and was caught. He will kill again.”
