Deltona Murder Trial is set to begin Monday, April 10

I wonder if CourtTV will be there. Does anyone know?

I work in the same office as 2 of the defense attorneys in that case (co-counsel) for Jerone Hunter one of the defendants (imagine that, and I'm the one that called it the Deland murders)

I also wonder if there is a topic here at courttv.com?

What really gets me is that there is only one camera on that whole entire intersection that picked up anything. I almost think there is some other motive by the police to draw the person out of hiding if he/she believes there is only ONE photo that is hardly visible:

Plea Change Asked in X Box Trial

The man who agreed to testify about three others in the Deltona mass murder trial has asked to have his guilty plea changed.

Robert Anthony Cannon pleaded guilty in October to all the charges. In exchange for his testimony for the prosecution, he was to get a life sentence. But in court this morning Cannon asked to withdraw his plea. Defense attorneys moved for a mistrial, but the judge denied the motion.

Prosecutors say the alleged ringleader, Troy Victorino, sought revenge because he felt disrespected by one of the victims who took his X-box video game system.

Also on trial are Michael Salas and Jerone Hunter. All three face six counts of first-degree murder, five-counts of mutilating a dead human body and other felonies. If convicted, prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

The case was moved from DeLand to St. Augustine after it was determined media coverage of the 2004 deaths was too intense in central Florida, making it almost impossible to pick a fair jury.

This is just unreal. How horrible for the families of these victims.
The first trial in April ended when only a partial jury was seated. Then a change of venue was granted, and this occurs.
I can't imagine what this witness is thinking, he truly received a good deal. Unless perhaps he thinks without his cooperation there is no evidence and that the other defendants would be found not guilty. There has been a gag order, so I really don't know what physical (DNA) evidence there is. What I have read about were statements by other people who knew this was going to occur....that they bought the baseball bats a couple days before at a Wal-Mart, a shoeprint at the scene that matches a pair of boots worn by one of the suspects. Otherwise I don't know of any other evidence.
