MILWAUKEE -- One week after two Milwaukee boys disappeared, the Milwaukee police said there is an increased possiblity a criminal act has been committed, but they still have no evidence of a crime.

"We have not ruled out any scenarios," Milwaukee police public relations manager Anne Schqartz said Sunday during a news conference.

The task force, made up of the Milwaukee Police Department and FBI, continues to work around the clock to find Quadrevion Henning, 12, and Purvis Parker, 11.

The boys were last seen at 3:30 p.m. last Sunday in the 4800 block of North 53rd Street.

Schwartz said police have no reason to believe at this time that the boys are not in Milwaukee.

She said police still know there are people out there who know information that could help in the information.

"We don't know why someone wouldn't come forward," Schwartz said. "These families are tortured."

If you have any information, you are asked to please call the nationwide toll-free tip line at (877) 628-3804.

I sure hope they do find these boys safe, sound, alive and unharmed. It just saddens me when someone (if someone has taken these children) does this to a child or to children. Let's keep our fingers cross and hope they do come home!!! :( A :rose: for the families.

I hope someone knows something and comes forward with the information. Someone has got to know something about it. They couldn't have just up and disappeared into thin air.

There have also been searches of vacant homes and abandoned cars.Eleven-year-old Purvis Parker and 12-year-old Quadrevion (kwah-DRAY'-vee-ahn) Henning were last seen March 19th when they asked Henning's grandfather if they could play basketball at a nearby park.
No one who saw them since then has come forward, and police have found no physical evidence that a crime has been committed, even though they've reclassified the case as a criminal investigation.

this is new for me, so please b patient with me if i'm not doing this right. I eat, drink, and sleep Dre and Purvis. The natl exposure was good but where is it now. I spend hours on line looking for info, but it's sparing and when I do it's from March. I have some vacation time at and I would like to travel to Wilwaukee to show my support. I need the latest info on the search. I hold on to faith that no matter what another person has planned against them, that will God will work it out in their favor. Please let's not let them be silenced. :rose

Case of missing Milwaukee boys doesn't fit theories
ASSOCIATED PRESS
MILWAUKEE - The case of two boys who vanished together during the daytime more than two weeks ago defies stereotypical kidnappings and other crimes against children, missing persons experts and police say.

The boys, Purvis Virginia Parker, 11, and Quadrevion Henning, 12, were last seen the afternoon of March 19 when they asked Henning's grandfather if they could play basketball at a nearby park.

Hundreds of people have called a tip line to offer possible leads into their disappearance. Milwaukee police spokeswoman Anne Schwartz said the case remains a mystery.

"We have a number of scenarios, and no one scenario is more credible than another," she said.

Police and family members say Henning and Parker don't have the characteristics of typical runaways, including no histories of runaway attempts. Both have good school attendance records, and they left their homes March 19 with no money, extra clothes or other items.

"These are good kids," said Susan WhiteHorse, manager of the Wisconsin Missing Persons Clearinghouse division of the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

Parker and Henning also don't share the typical characteristics of victims of the rare stranger abduction.

"The motive is usually sexual assault," said sociologist David Finkelhor, director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire. "It's usually a lone abductor who wants to have a sexual slave. Managing two boys of that age would be very, very difficult."

Family abductions are far more common, but Parker and Henning again don't fit the stereotypes. They are from separate families, and family abductions usually involve children younger than 6.

Investigators, meanwhile, are considering new ways to solicit information in the case. They plan to post the boys' photos and information hot line number on the scoreboards at upcoming Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Admirals games.

"We're looking at every opportunity where there are going to be lots of people," Schwartz said. "We're doing everything we can."

MILWAUKEE -- A candlelight prayer vigil is scheduled for Thursday night in Milwaukee for the city's missing children.

It is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church on North 51st Street.

The service comes amidst the search for two missing Milwaukee boys.

Purvis Parker, 11, and Quadrevion Henning, 12, have been missing since March 19.

The Milwaukee Brewers are also helping out with the search.

The boys' pictures are being shown before and during games at Miller Park.

The pictures will also appear outside on the Miller Park's lighted billboard along Interstate 94.

On Friday and Saturday Brewers' fans who come to the games will find fliers on their cars with the boys' pictures on it.

NAACP volunteers are handing out the fliers.
