Dorkette: Just wanted to chime in here. I have been reading this board and following the news since Taylor was first missing. I have a daughter (11 years old--but yet that's only SIX years younger than Taylor was). Anyway, I always call her "Baby Girl," which I believe I read somewhere that you as well called your Taylor. My daughter reminds me a lot of what I've seen and read about Taylor and my heart breaks for you. I cannot imagine life without my "baby girl." Just wanted to say that if there can ever be any small "good" that comes from something so horrific, I would have to think that I can't possibly be the only mother out there who takes those few extra minutes or even seconds to do the little extras for our children who we tend to assume will always be here when really we never know. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope that small thoughts from those with big hearts help to ease your load. You seem like a wonderful person, and I believe Taylor's spirit shines through you.

You won't ever let her go nor do you need to. She is with you all of the time and I'm just so sorry what you are going through. I know all this love and support can't make up for it....It's her smile that caught me too. The young life transferring into adulthood, on her own. Sweet, sweet girl that got taken advantage of. I'm so sorry again...:rose:

Does anyone know how Taylor's father is doing? We hear and see so much of her mother. She even posts on this board. How is her poor father? We saw him a few times when she was still considered missing, but not much since. He was crying so sweetly on television. It was clear how much he loved his daughter. He seems so full of class and charm. We wish that dear man all the best in healing in this difficult time.
I don't think any of us have forgotten about Matt Behl. Everyone handles their grief differently. I would think it would be difficult after having such a great loss to be thrust into the public eye too. Dorkette , you've handled yourself really well. Thank you for understanding what an impact your daughter has had on so many people and allowing us to feel closer to her by talking with you.

I know it must be particularly hard for him since he was a single father. Often you get very little value as a single father and most people seem to forget him while her mother gets so much attention. Of course she needs attention and seems to do well with it, but I think Taylor's father should not be forgotten. He seems like such a sweet man and we should not forget that he is in pain too. Extra hugs to Matt.

I am grateful that I do not know what it is like to be either of Taylor's parents. I have a guilty feeling of relief knowing that, for today, my child is safe while others are not.
For that reason, I give Janet and Matt the benefit of the doubt with anything they say and/or how they conduct themselves. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how some people can be critical of them. I only suspect those who are critical have not walked in their shoes.
I hold the same sentiments for Beth Holloway Twitty. The comments made about her make me question the direction of humanity in our society.
My advice to those who choose to be critical of them is this:
If you cannot freely exercise civility in how you communicate, then keep your pie hole shut and thank God you are not in their shoes. Go volunteer at the local animal shelter and stop wasting people's time on internet boards.

I've been following this on the Boards for a while, but never bothered registering until I saw this post.
Forgive me, but your post almost seems like a back-handed slap at the mother, e.g. she "gets so much attention" and then "Of course she needs attention and seems to do well with it..." I'm just curious if that is the veiled meaning behind your post.
My best recollection is that Taylor's mother was camped out in Richmond in September and feverishly working to keep the case in the media spotlight. I would hate to be in her position and I think she handled the situation valiantly. Without her doing so, I'm not sure that Taylor ever would have been found. Perhaps I'm just reading too much into your post about Taylor's mother needing attention.
I think both parents deserve equal hugs regardless of who might be getting the "attention."

And perhaps if you have issues with someone, you should take them to them in private and make sure you have the whole story.
JMO.
Well said Rowan.Thank you. I have seen only support and NO criticisms at all on these boards of Taylor's parents. If you have it is only in your mind and interpretation of something that was not meant that way.
And TN more of us have walked in their shoes than you will ever know. TN maybe you misunderstood some things and jumped to conclusions that were wrong. As Rowan said you should check these things out in private to learn the whole story.
TN: Many messages go in Private Messages that you dont know anything about. Take it easy. Relax. We all agree that her parents are terrific and wonderful people.
Rowan that "you" in the second sentence of my post above is directed to TN not you. I just wanted to make that clear. I agree with you 100 per cent that there has been nothing but love and support from everyone on these boards for Taylor's parents. If TN thinks there was some kind of criticism it is only in their imagination.

Janet, I think of you often as I continue to follow Taylor's case, and I read about how close you two were and think of how completely unfair it is that she had to be taken away, it's a pain that no mother should have to feel. I hope so much that you continue to feel close to her and that you can always feel her with you. I wish that each one of us could lend you extra strength whenever you need it, we all would in a second! Much love and strength to you. :rose:

Janet, that is ridiculous to think that my love and support for Taylor's father is somehow negative for Taylor's mother. I just was wondering if he is ok. We can clearly see how Taylor's mother is doing, but since her father does not seem to like being in the public eye, we do not know how he is healing. I just wanted to send my love, thoughts, and prayers and to let him know that he is not forgotten.

It is Jane, and I'm sorry that my comment was ridiculous. I don't take anyone's love and support for Matt as a negative. Words must be chosen with care and I thought I detected some back-handed criticism. I'm sorry that I misinterpreted your comments.

Hold up folks. My post was not directed to anyone who posted something in this link. It is strictly intended to point out how incredibly insensitive some people have been.
I think you have all taken it the wrong way. Spend 5 minutes on the Holloway board and you will soon know where my point of view comes from. 50% of all posts are bashing Beth Twitty. It makes me sick. There have been some posts in the past critical of Janet. Why? I haven't a clue. Of all people to argue with on an internet board..... she should be excluded. As I stated in my post, if you must disagree ... do so with civility. Those who revert to 'bad internet behavior' only drive away those who add thought provoking dialog.
Sorry for the disconnect. Carry on.

This is a subject that rouses passions. But I really would like to commend everyone on here for NOT stooping to the depths that others have on other boards.
For Taylor :rose:
What I have read on some of the other boards (notably Carlie Brucia and Natalie Holloway) is beyond the realm of tasteless. I am glad that it has not infected this board, although a few months ago I started to worry that it was sliding. This board remains one of the most supportive and intelligent boards on Court TV.
It just bothers me to no end when people feel the need to bash or criticize the family of crime victims. It makes no sense to me.
I think Bananas comments were very appropriate. There are many people affected by this crime. As I walked under the crescent moon last night, I said a prayer for both Janet and Matt. Although they grieve in different ways (we all do) they both deserve compassion, support, love, and respect. From my little corner of the world, they are getting that.
Taylor must have felt an EXTREME outpouring of love last night. I was riding home late and looked up at the sky and saw that crescent moon and she was the first thing I thought about. I'm sure alot of us did.

I think it's really unfortunate that a thread titled "Communications to Taylor's Family" somehow turned into bickering back and forth over misinterpretations of words.
I've been a bit disheartened lately and have been coming to this message board less and less because threads often turn nasty and deviate so far from the topic . If you have an issue with someone, I think it would be better to take care of it with them privately. But in any case, please try to put your egos aside and remember what's really important here guys. :( :(

Its Chambers. Not Chalmers.
http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/02/13/chambers.release/
But there are many differences in this case. Plus the Preppy Murder defense did not work for Chambers. He ended up taking a plea deal. 15 years and no parole. Lets all hope and pray for a much longer sentence for BF after he has been found guilty of course.

The defense did not work for Robert Chambers, but his defense team mercilessly trashed the victim in the media and in Court.
As I recall the victim in the Chambers case had a diary containing lurid details. I haven't seen anything regarding Taylor that suggests the BF's defense team will be able to grasp on to anything but straws.
The victim in the Chambers case also did not have a strong advocate, like Taylor's mother, who could refute the defense's tactics.
It should be interesting to see how this all play's out and I truly hope the end result is justice for Taylor as well as her name being preserved.

Hello :seeya:
Hey Jude, Taylor's cat, Spot and my cat, Quincy are sisters and we got them in England. They are fat and happy and have become much more affectionate. Taylor was an avid reader - mostly the classics. Writing - she hated writing for school papers. She didn't have the confidence.
Peace, the porn charges for Benny-Boy and the up coming court date, I believe is another preliminary hearing, there have been 2 in the past that have been postponed. I would imagine that the trial for the porn could come after the murder trial since they want to sentence him for the porn after the murder sentencing.
It is good to hear from you all,

Hey there,
I would imagine with the trial preparations in progress and only 2 months to go, those that are still interested in this case will (hopefully) resume postings.
Should be very interesting to see how much is shown on TV since the judge is allowing cameras in the courtroom. I didn't want them in there.
Take care,
Dorkette
Hi: I think we are all just waiting and watching. And will surely be here when the trial begins. I agree with you about the cameras. It seems to me to create too many distractions inside and outside the court. But on the other hand people want to know all the facts so what can you do? I am sure if it is carried on Court TV I will watch the trial. I dont think that small court room can possibly hold very many people.
As far as Spring is concerned this year I am patient. I dont worry about it and wish it would hurry up because I know it is happening slowly but surely coming our way and I dont want to rush it. May seems far off but it will be here soon enough. Until then be assured we are all thinking of you and will be with you in full force when the trial starts. All best wishes to you from me and my wife. If you like art try and get down to the National Gallery of Art and see the Cezanne exhibit and the Dada exhibit. I think you will like them.

several rows for family, several rows for the kind citizens of Mathews and the rest for the media.

1) I'm still here often (although not posting much) and will be throughout the entire trial. Besides, since you have come to this board we all got to liking you, so at this point you're stuck with us.
:D
2 ) Just curious - did the court ask you for any input regarding the use of cameras?
Dorkette
03-28-2006, 03:21 PM
Hi TN,
Thanks for still being here - glad to be stuck with those that are still here.
I did voice my opinion to Jack Gill regarding the cameras and I am totally against it. Did the judge ask me? No.
I was told the preliminary decision regarding how they are going to decide who is admitted into the court room is this: family, Mathews' residents and media. However, the judge has the final say.
Bye for now,
Dorkette

I imagine a lot of folks are like me and drop by to look for updates, but don't post. This time I thought I'd say hi. It took me a couple of tries to remember my password.
Just about everyone I know in Richmond is waiting - some patiently and some not so patiently - for the trial to start.

Dorkette and family,
I have read from day one about Taylor and have followed the case diligently. It's the first case to get my real attention. It got me interested in a couple of blogs and this site as well. I had to sign up to be a member here at CTV this week to let you know I am probably one of MANY that send prayers and positive thoughts your way daily. As time grows closer to bf's day in court please know that there are hundreds if not thousands of people that will bolster you with their prayers. The fact is, not all of us post, but we are here and we care for you.
Taylor truly has touched many lives. Her beautiful smile, her innocent trust, her crescent moons. She will not be forgotten, she will always be loved by many.

I also believe you aren't allowed to take pictures of the jury. How will the media comply with that?
Has that been a problem in other televised cases? Not to my knowledge, I could be wrong I suppose. I'm thinking BF's atty isn't a real good grandstander, I suppose we'll see.

The Judge will issue an order to the media that states: any photographs depicting a member of the jury will be considered contempt and you will go to jail for a period of time to my liking.
(paraphrased - of course)
Once that has been issued .... it's amazing how readily the media complies. They all know the ground rules and they know better than to test the judge.
I think the bigger issue is how the attorney's will behave. Hopefully they will be on their best behavior and will allow the legal proceedings to take place as they would if no cameras were present.
You were correct, the media is the group that petitions the court to allow access. Blah, blah, blah .... 1st admendment .... blah, blah, blah ..... then the judge rules. Not every case is granted media access.

I keep hoping, I must admit, for news that there has been a plea bargain- that Ben Fawley is simply going to stay locked away for a very, very, very, very long time. So wish the family and good people of Mathews could be spared.
But I am confident that both - Taylor's family and the Good people of Mathews are up for this trial!
My prayers are with you Dorkette. They have been since September 9th of last year, when I first heard Taylor was missing.

Hey Jude - I would say the Kobe Bryant case is the worst offense I have ever seen. A rape victim had her life destroyed because media outlets published her name. Then her face was splashed all over the internet once people knew who she was. This all goes against the rules of the court where sexual assaults are involved. They are supposed to remain annonymous unless they choose otherwise.
She faced threats on a daily basis, had to leave college, and eventually move out of her residence to another state.
No wonder she elected to take a civil award and skip the criminal phase of the case.
I don't think this case will approach that level of trash. I would think both sides can keep this reasonably civil. Juries do not like to see victims attacked in court or badmouthed.
My fingers are crossed for a fair trial that allows an impartial jury to rendure the verdict that fits the evidence. There is no need to trash Taylor in order to defend Ben Fawley. His defense should be limited to explaining away evidence, not reputations.

I think the two Mathews attorneys (prosecution and defense) will keep it in check but I have misgivings about Collins.
Anyone know how he has handled similar cases with regards to the victim? He's out of Richmond, right?

The only thing I hope, is that the judge will sustain the prosecution's objections when the trashing starts. He's her only hope now.

OT-- Just one question. Do people still say Novenas? (Ouch, my knees still ache from the hard floor as a child. )
Janet,
I just wanted to say that everything I said on the phone still holds true. Be well, as much as is possible. The public's interest will wane soon enough, and then I believe you (as I and everyone else in this) will be more able to come to terms with this in a real-life kind of way.
I'm sorry if the publicity that you and Mr. Peterson asked for at the beginning of all of this wasn't right. I just gave everything appropriate I had to give, there wasn't anything more I could have done legitimately. I have very little desire to be false.

That's weird, the quote is linked to 'Hey Jude' but it is actually my post. ??? Hmmm....
As far as the behavior of the attorney's .... I suspect the judge will put a kabosh on any 'grandstanding'. I cannot see this going down the OJ path in that anything less than professionalism by the attorney's will be considered a reflection of the court. (aka - the judge)
The Carlie Brucia case was televised and that had very little in the way of inappropriate character bashing. I don't think this case has much to do with reputations as it does with facts. I would think the jury is going to feel the same way.

Thanks for the posting and you did what we asked and thank you. Your concerns about being called as a witness, I sent your mom some info and since the trial has been postponed until the 17th August - you have time to get organized. I believe if you are called, you should only have to be in Mathews for a day or 2 and they will pick up any hotel charges. Hope that helps.

I may be overstepping my boundaries and if you feel the desire to tell me to mind my own business, that's okay; I would understand.
But I feel compelled to ask you a question.
How do you cope? Literally, what is the support mechanism in place to help you cope every single day?
If anything happened to my son, I think they would have to lock me up in a nuthouse. If it was a traumatic experience, such as yours, I think focusing on finding my child at first could take some of the pressure off because I would feel that I had a mission to accomplish.
But there have to be those times when you're alone, or you look at a picture of Taylor, or you have a vivid memory hit you... that it must be unbearably difficult.
Again, this may be way too personal of a question to ask on a public forum such as this and I completely understand if you choose not to answer. But you seem to gain strength from "something"... and I'm curious as to what that "something" is. I honestly don't know if I could handle the situation in the same manner that you have. (Which I would characterize as classy, respectful and with grace)

Janet,
I just wanted to thank you for being so special. It takes a wonderful person to reach out to those of us who are touched by your daughter. It is so nice to be able to reach out to the one person who meant so much to Taylor. You did a wonderful job with your daughter & Im sure she will live on strongly in the lives of us who are touched so much by her story. May god give you the strengh you need to make it through the trial and may he see fit to punish the one that did this to your wonderful daughter. Your daughter in my opinion was a chosen one who the good lord had a meaning for - to reach out to those of us and make us learn a very important lesson. Janet be proud to know that your daughter is probably saving lives as we speak. May many young girls her age be touched by what she has gone through & learn from what has happened. More than anything - Thank you Janet for being here for those of us who have been so touched by your daughter. Be proud to know how much she means to many of us.
You & your daughter have touched my life.
Thank you for all you have done.

God I pray you take care of Janet, let her feel the peace of knowing her daughter is in your hands and care, give her the strength to make it through the trial and give her the closure she needs by seeing that the person who has caused her so much pain get the punishment that you see fit. I pray in your name my lord. Amen

Normally I'm a crusty, unsentimental old coot, but this is something that really got to me, and I have to share it. A few nights ago, I slipped a CD into my stereo, one I hadn't listened to in a year or more, "The Royal Academy of Reality" by a group called the Swimming Pool Q's. It's really lush "ear candy" music. I had never paid much attention to lyrics.
Now, I'm not one of those people who looks for ways to make a song relevant to a person or event just because of one or two lines in it. But as I listened, the words to the first song on that CD really hit me.

Hi Janet,
Yes I know, I'm a bit of a private/paranoid person and tend to worry about strangers contacting me. I have a child at VCU and originally, I worried that this might be a very random crime and wanted to draw as little attention to my child as possible. Also, I didn't want to bother you as I know so many folks send you messages.
But since you asked: I'm Bruce's friend, the mom whose student had just finished the first year at VCU. Last July or August, Bruce was trying to set up a time for Taylor, you, me and my child to meet to talk of VCU, the campus, first year stuff, etc. I can't tell you how many times I wish we had managed to have that lunch. I know it probably wouldn't have changed the outcome for you and yours but I would have loved getting a chance to meet Taylor. I think of her everyday and of you too. Taylor and her friend at Starbucks, can't remember her name, actually waited on me once. I remember the two girls giggling over something and me waiting just a few minutes for one of them to come to the register. It was really quite cute and you could tell they were good friends.
So there you have it no big woop...just known Bruce for 30+ years.

I know this board has it's waves of flurry and then uncanny silence. But, there are those of us that visit and read everyday. We may not be posting but we're here. I just thought you should know that not a day goes by that you and Taylor are thought of and remembered with love.
With Father's day right around the corner, my thoughts go out to Taylor's father. And, my love is sent to you, as I know at times you occupied both roles of mother and father.
May God grant you peace.

Lisa,
I also am wondering if you wrote that - it was just beautiful, touching and Taylor was an Angel here on earth and I know she is one above us.
Did you know that we lived in England and Taylor considered herself "Euro-American"?
Thank you Lisa and hope you will continue to post here.

Hi Janet,
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner to the above message. VCU has worked out very nicely and my youngster did do well this year. If it weren't for the high crime rate in Richmond we'd be really happy about the school. I'm glad we're both here now but before long school will start and then it will be back to the city and I'll sleep less soundly. It's odd but because of all the street robberies and a shooting next door to their place (two days after school started), in August, I started checking the Richmond crime reports daily. I actually saw an "abduction" report and noted how close it was to the campus. When I heard Taylor was missing, I immediately went back to that report and I wondered if there was some connection. I never imagined how much that false report would so impact the outcome for Taylor.
I feel deeply for what you are going through and I want you to know that I will continue to do whatever I can to help to make sure that Taylor's memory is honoured. I also want you to know that my child thinks of Taylor often and vows not to forget about her. We have so much in common and there are so many things I would like to say to you but I often feel uncomfortable, worried that I wouldn't say it right. The last thing I would want to do is make you feel sad. It seems so unfair that Taylor can't be here with you. But I am certain that she does come to you often.
About getting together, I haven't spoken to B. lately but maybe a Sunday brunch would work for everyone. I'll email him.

I am so very pleased you liked my poems. These actual two are from a collection of Angel cards that I use in my job, but I adapt them to fit each personnel circumstance. So I can't take all the credit:). I do however write poetry myself but I wanted to share these with you.
Where abouts in England did you live ? This makes me smile to know that your beautiful Angel has been so close and walked on British soil.
You are a strong woman and I feel honoured to have been able to talk to you.
Much Love

You are a very talented woman, Lisa! And I am the one that is honored to have you take the time and effort to put together such beautiful words for a beautiful child.
We lived in Medmenham and Camberley. Taylor's stepfather was in the RAF so we moved around often and ended up in Brussels.
Love to you,

I did have a pretty good day with the most supportive friends, and family. Food was great, the company excellent and ranged in ages from 5 - 75 and the fireworks they had were quite good!
I hope your 4th was just as nice.
The support you all have given with your postings of thoughts and prayers have truly been a great comfort and a giver of strength (that doesn't sound like very good English but you know what I mean). Many a day I have looked at this site and have counted myself to be a very lucky woman to have you virtual friends.

Dorkette,
I pray each day that you will be able to hold onto your strength and forge thru this trial and at sentencing that scum bag will have to pay with his life (or at least the freedom to have a life) for the pain he has put you through. You have walked with so much grace through this totally devistating experiance. I have said it before and continue to wonder each day....How could there be a woman this stong and (their is not a word grand enough to describe your impecable grace)?
Keep your head up high and try and find happiness everyday.

Dorkette,
I don't understand how in the world the Defense can ask for ANOTHER continuance! And at this late date...
They got one - a four month one in April after those letters surfaced. (along with the experts they asked for to help them prepare)
Hope the Judge says NO WAY!
I know this is an extraordinary tough time.
Please know I am truly sorry the Defense is doing this AGAIN.

They are going to ask for it becasue they don't have the death certificate with the cause of death. I want them to have everything.
We don't need this thrown out over something stupid.

Dorkette,
This must be excruciating for you and everyone involved. I think gemsbmw is right, that no one wants this to be thrown out on any technicality.
How are you feeling about this possibility?
:rose: Taylor
becurious, how could it be thrown out? I'm not familiar with the legal system but Ben did admit to being responsible for Taylor's death whether it was accidental or intentional. It might change the degree of the charges but he's still going to serve time, right?
Dorkette, I'm sorry too. If the defense does get a continuance I'd try to look at the bright side...that it will give the prosectution extra time to prepare their case too.

I don't know that it could be thrown out, Jace. I'm not familiar enough with legal issues and loopholes. I have been following the Couey trial most recently and a few other trials and there seem to be so many little things that can get a trial thrown out. I don't know how important the medical examiner's report is to the trial.

At Taylor's visitation guests received a card with the following script. I hope Dorkette doesn't mind me posting this.
"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is gone.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times, and laughing times, and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done."
I don't know who wrote this as I would give them credit.
The card fell out this evening when I was looking for a book in my bookcase. And, the crescent moon is beautiful tonight.
I think someone is ready for her justice to begin.

I've been following Taylor's case since the beginning. I was in Richmond (for my first visit ever) in the days following her disappearance, and I saw one of the missing fliers in a shop window. After that, I read everything I could about her. It seems like she was an amazing young woman, and I wish I could have known her.
Even through your devastation, you have remained strong and focused, and I know that is a tribute to her.

Dorkette -
I took my daughter to VCU today for a campus tour. She's a senior this year and we're beginning the college search. My heart was heavy as we passed the Village Cafe and Gladding Residence and traced so many of the steps Taylor must've taken. I'm trying to let my daughter make her own choices as I know you must've done with Taylor. You and Taylor and Matt have been in our prayers since the day the first missing person report was aired last September. Knowing that words could never really say enough, we have silently held your hand to comfort you every step of the way.
I can only hope that with today's events, you will begin to truly find peace and that you will continue to feel the strength of those who will continue to support you, both visibly, verbally, and in silence. You are an amazing woman. Taylor must be so proud of you. God bless.

I have just read of the decision to alow the plea to go forth and I just want you to know that I wish it could have been life wop but...I can understand a lot of things that have factored into the decision. It gives you a chance to allow all of you...including Taylor to have closure. I hope you can understand what I mean. I really think she would have preferred this to a long drawn out trial that would have been so hard for those she loved.
I have been in that position before and to finally be able to walk away and get back to what is really important..remembering my loved one(s) and all of the time we had together. Letting the ugliness of everything go and being able to find peace in the fact that we have known someone so loving and sweet and courageous as you and your daughter.

Dedicated to Janet, In Loving Memory of Beautiful Taylor...
ANGEL - by Sarah McLachlan
Spend all your time waiting
for that second chance
for a break that would make it okay
there's always one reason
to feel not good enough
and it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
oh beautiful release
memory seeps from my veins
let me be empty
and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
in the arms of an angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort there
so tired of the straight line
and everywhere you turn
there's vultures and thieves at your back
and the storm keeps on twisting
you keep on building the lie
that you make up for all that you lack
it don't make no difference
escaping one last time
it's easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
this glorious sadness that brings me to my knees
in the arms of an angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort there
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here.

To Taylor's family and friends,
God Bless you all and please know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many people, and will always remain so. I have been so amazed at the strength of Taylor's parents, Janet and Matt, especially since I have a little boy myself (he is two) and I cannot imagine finding the strength that they have shown if anything ever happened to my little Connor. I am currently in a doctoral program at VCU, and just wanted to take this chance to pass along my best wishes for Taylor's parents. I just wanted to assure you that no one has forgotten Taylor there and they never will. I am so relieved that you all are not having to endure a trial and that the perpetrator has been brought to justice. I hope that Janet continues to post here and in some way, however small, that all the love and prayers here brings some consolation and comfort. :rose: for you all and :rose: :rose: for Taylor

Dorkette,
you are the most amazing lady. I have watched you several times on the video clips that I have come across and you are very strong and courages. I truly admire you and your strength. I wish i could just walk up to you and hug you and make all of your pain and misery go away. But until then i will pray for you. Just know that your beautiful daughter and angel Taylor is watching over you all day everyday.
With love,
Misty

Since the message board has virtually stopped, I will be updating friendsof taylor.com to give out updates like the speaking engagements that I have been asked to do and the airing of a documentary by 48 Hours on (I think) Nov 18th.

You are welcome. It is a shame he is having to live in a cell with a broke arm - NOT.

Is this new info or just a private club?

Poplife,
I am not sure what you meant by a private club - which it isn't - I just was trying to letting people know that Taylor's murderer has a broken arm. Also, since this board has been archived - I have updated and will continue to update friendsoftaylor.com.
To all: today would have been Taylor's 19th birthday.
My heart and prayers go out to the young woman's family from Arlington whose daughter's body was found today. They were furtunate in that respect. May God and true friends be with you during these tough times ahead.
What a difference it can make when you don't have to beg and plead for the "real" police to believe your story.

Hi Sasha,
The book is to be on the stands on November 7th. You can order it from Amazon (cheapest that I have found).
Thanks for the interest. I would be interested in what you think of it.

jestem bardzo smutny....oddycham łzami, choć minęło już tyle czasu...bez niej tutaj....ślę tobie Taylor moje myśli..tam,do twojego raju...gdzie każde stąpnięcie twojej stopy budzi do życia kwiaty....niech myśli moje staną się motylami przed twoją twarzą...my sad..my pain...from my contry ..from Poland..

Hello ann23
You're just a bit late I'm afraid. The board has been very quiet for the last several months. Though, I still think some of us still check in from time to time. As ya can tell, I still do...Welcome nonetheless
And Janet, how are you dear one? Have not heard a word from you since Dan closed that last entry. Wating for a new "friends of Taylor" update<
