View Full Version : Facts Only
This thread is for those who have a link to FACTS or a QUOTE from a member of LE, family, or someone directly related to this case.
This is only for facts that have been derived from VERIFIED sources, such as Nancy Grace transcripts, Greta transcripts, news media comments in papers or articles, quotes from family members or co-workers, etc.
Please do not post here with a theory or a speculation. There is another area to post that information.
This is the place to post facts only. You may do so in any way you wish, but please, facts only.
Timelines are great, too. If you have a timeline of events, that would be helpful, but include only verified times and dates and information.
Hopefully, this will become the place we rely on to see FACTS ONLY and allow us to speculate and theorize in another area.
I hope this helps us all.

Anita interview 1-25-06
The latest in the Tara Grinstead investigation with Anita Gatis
Larry Harriet, CourtNet -- Janurary 25th 2006
CourtNet Reporter, Larry Harriet recently did an exclusive interview with Anita Gatis, Tara Grinstead's sister. Below is a rush transcript.
7. Do you hope that these 2 get re-questioned?
Absolutely. There are in addition to Marcus Harper and Anthony Vickers, some other key people including Sean Fletcher who works on the police force. I am also distraught about the fact that there was a latex glove found outside of Tara's home after she disappeared, and police cars have latex gloves.

Thanks to NancyNC for this link to a photo of
Tara's trunk BEFORE the car was taken to the car wash by neighbor, Joe Portier.
It's obvious that prints were lifted from the trunk.
Are there any other links to photos that others could post?
This would be a good place to compile them.

This is a new article about Tara in Atlanta paper. One thing that is in the article was about the car, it had clay on the tires. Anita said that Tara never drove on dirt roads.

that's what caught my eye also. Tara left the cookout that evening ,I'm guessing there were no dirt roads from that house to hers so where in the world did the clay come from?

Is the clay a fact or just part of a news story? I have long believed that If someone did harm Tara they would take her down a dirt road somewhere. There are miles and miles of dirt and clay roads near-by. It sound like an aerial search of nearby clay roads might show up something if this is a fact.

Just posting this under facts, sometimes the links get taken down and we lose info.
snip' from newspaper article.
Gattis feels her sister left with someone she knew on the night she disappeared. Her house was locked but her car, a pearl white Mitsubishi 3000 GT, was unlocked and in the carport, with $100 in the console and clay on the tires.

Is there an online "timeline" of events for this case, posted anywhere?

I am bumping this. We had a pretty good thing going for awhile and then it got sidetracked. Lets get back on track.

What do you mean by "I am bumping this."
I have seen the term used in other posts, but can't figure out what it means.
Thanks - in advance - for explaining it!

It just means they're bringing this up to the front of the topic line.

A chunk of clay and a fragment of pine bark could hold the key to solving this mystery. http://www.crimelibrary.com/news/original/0206/2402_tara_grinstead_geographic_profiling.html
Seems like Dr. Godwin let some forensic evidence (pine bark) slip before setting foot in Ocilla. He, no doubt, has access to the investigation files. I wonder what other forensic evidence was found in/on Tara's car which LE has decided not to make public.
We could help. But we have little hope of assisting LE because of what they hold back. And the really sad thing is that isn't always necessary.
The sad realty seems to be that someone overpowered Tara and used her car in the commission of their crime. The clay and pine bark suggests a side road, perhaps overgrown by pine saplings.
I feel so sorry for Tara's family, and "Tara's kids" tonight. Prayers for Tara and for them.
Can someone tell me for a fact if the administrator of the talktara message board is a local person? Does a local person moderate this board?
Please, no speculations, facts only in this thread.
