As a non-resident of Georgia .... NG had footage that really showed how rural this area of Georgia is. (water, woods, fields, dirt roads, etc..)

It became apparent why finding Tara could be a difficult task. It sure didn't improve my confidence that she will turn up anytime soon.

:(

Wish I lived closer so I could help with the scheduled search.

I was surprised about the abandoned wells. One would think that they would be filled in or at the least have a cover put on them.

The one they showed was a concrete type round structure with a concrete lid that was removed to show the murky interior. I would think these wells are fairly deep and would be difficult or not cost effective to fill. In any event, the lid looked quite heavy so I wouldn't imagine children would be able to lift it.

I've heard that statistically most people that are abducted and killed are found within like a 10 mile radius (or less) of where they were taken...most killers don't like hauling around a dead body for very long.

So I have a feeling she's just not that far away.

Nancy seems to be in her element now. Out in the field. Good move, Nancy!:D

I also think this case resenates with her because she is a native of Georgia and she connects with the plight of Tara.

If not for NG, I think this case would be collecting dust nationally. I'm glad she has pursued this in order to provide visibility to the progression (or lack of) of the case.

it was reported on Greta last night that 50,000 people are currently officially missing in the US right now....that is mind boggling.

This is true... most don't like taking the chance of getting caught because of a traffic stop or accident... except Scott Peterson.

OK. Just finished reading transcripts from last night's NG. It is now apparent to me that there WAS a struggle of some kind around her bed...clock under the bed, broken lamp, and necklace on the floor. I always had thought she must have gotten a phone call, found something suitable to wear, gone out the door(locking it behind her), and got into someone's car. I mean, something had to cause those 3 things to be out of place.

Didn't Marcus Harper have a key to Tara's house? Could it be that his friend dropped him off and he went in and kidnapped Tara using her car for disposal since her DNA would be expected in the car? I think this is very possible. The reason the car was returned is because they didn't want it anywhere near Tara's body. No body, no crime.

Also, didn't Marcus have special military training i.e. Special Forces, Green Berets? These people know how to snap a neck in seconds.

Not sure if he had a key...however it may not have been necessary...she may have answered the door. Her front door was found locked, yet the car was unlocked. The rest of your speculation is right where I am headed also...using her car, returning her car, etc.

So if there was a scuffle causing those 3 "problems" in her bedroom, did he allow her to lock the door on their way out??? Is there another exit from her home? I read that the door to the carport area is blocked off but is there a back door? Maybe the door is the kind that locks automatically when closed?

IMO Obviously MH doesnt have any respect to Tara... why would he call tara a "f***king ***** in a stop light while Tara is with someone else ?. Does he think Tara is following him? I thought Tara is the only one who got some emotional problem...MH looks like he needed to atend some Anger Management Class.

So, what is the consensus re: MH's "alibi" friend? Did he participate or did he help cover up? He picked MH up from the bar, so it sure seems he was a part of this, assuming MH committed the crime.

Probably fueled MH's idea to "do something about her" however I don't think they'd be stupid enough to use a patrol car to dispose of the body...Fletcher could have just dropped him off at her house and said he was with him all the time, or both could have been there at her house. One of the most incriminating statements Harper made was when recalling that on Oct 14 she had threatened to kill herself if they couldn't be together- that is just too convenient one week before she goes missing...like "this will be the first Christmas without my wife" then she goes missing Christmas Eve...

I have read that he had a key and he was a ranger. My son says they can pass a lie detector test too. Wonder why he was sent back home early and unexpected???

Harper had a key, Harper locked the house door. What he didn't do was lock the car doors, didn't know her habit of keeping them locked.

Well I think your giving MH way to much credit...he's a grown man....a former police officer ...and an army ranger...yet in public at a stop light...obviously with witnesses present..he hangs his head out the window and verbally assulted her (Tara). Not the smartest or most mature way to handle a situation in which your frusterated. Obviously he acted without thinking, so its my opinion that he has a hard time controlling himself when angered. I think his being a soilder leeds people to assume he's stable and very controlled emotionally, we think this because he is a United States Army Ranger an elite group, at least thats what I thought... But in reality he's human and so is his LE friend "F" and we all know that everyone makes mistakes. And if you think about it..., Actually if they did use the patrol car...that might have been the smartest way to go...
1. Not going to get pulled over
2. Doesn't raise suspicion if seen anywhere at anytime
3. If luminol showed presents of blood, it could pretty easily be explained away...Previous arrest suspect was bleeding.
4. If hair was found that belonged to Tara, this too could be explained....she was friends with several officers, and this was the same officer (and probably the same car) that arrested AV the night he was caught banging on her door. It could be argued that her hair was tranfered from her home or yard to the patrol car somehow. When you have long hair it seems to get everywhere (or at least mine does).
5.This is the last place their going to search for foul play.
As far as I've read...the patrol car has not been search .....or has it?
The above is just my opinion!

Assuming MH is the culprit, I think he may have used Tara's car - her hair, DNA, etc. are already there. IMO he returned to the scene to clean up. Wonder if the glove belonged to F.

The two, MH and F, had several hours to talk about what happened, assuming MH was involved and to plan their moves. If neither breaks, this could be an unsolveable case.

What info do we know about F?

I think her car was involved also: Tara's DNA would be all over her car, including the trunk (from leaning in there to clean it, putting things in & taking them out), however there would be no explanation why it'd be in the trunk of his patrol car...especially HIS patrol car since Tara had issues with him.
