While going over some of the posts during the down time last week,I read a post from "somechick" that somehow I missed....She claims that Jessie told a friend that he was "with" Taylor the night she went missing.....Does anyone believe this?

I thought he said he never met her.If he was with her that night why did he not come forward and help with the timeline. From what I understand he lied but was it about knowing her or NOT knowing her...I was never clear on this....

IF he WAS with her that nite does that mean he and BF were in on it together? When was he with her that nite? Anyone have any thoughts on this...

"somechick"also claimed her "friend" said Taylor was "out of control" and that "she had it coming to her"...What the hell does that even mean?????

Taylor made a mistake. She KNEW she made a mistake and was trying to move on with her life. What could this kid possibly have done to make someone say "she had it coming to her"

This gag order is driving me crazy and I have been heart broken for the past 2 months....I wish the scumbag would just confess..

The "rough sex" defense is not a confession...Its the best LIE he could come up with.

Joe Smith, the guy who raped and killed 11 year old Carlie, said that he killed her "accidentally during rough sex"...

I am so sick of these SCUMBAGS using this a a confession or an excuse....

I haven't been up here lately, but something came up in conversation that I felt I should mention here. A friend of mine seems to have a lot contacts that knew Taylor. And s/he has told a bunch of people that Jessie had sex with Taylor the night she disappeared, claimed Jessie told a few people after being released for his cocaine charges. Has anybody heard anything similar? Also a few people who knew Taylor even before she came to VCU claim Taylor was "out of control" and that no one could stop her.

Now I never thought Taylor was a virginal girl, but I still found this interesting for two reasons. 1) Some students on campus who believe these stories (whether they're true or untrue) think "oh she had it coming." Is this part of smear campaign? Whether she had sex with Jessie or whether she was a wild child, she didn't deserve to die. 2) If it is true, it explains why she would have left Richmond willingly even if she said when she'd back and had classes the next day. Anyway when I heard my friend say "she had it coming" devil horns sprouted from his/her head.

I saw/read this post when it first surfaced. I placed little, if no, value on it it since it's sort of a "a friend of a friend of a friend....said....". After all, what moron in his right mind would admit/brag about having had rough sex with Taylor the night she disappeared right after being released from jail on drug possession charges? Get real, people!

Somechick's "friend" is Hildy, who is BF's best friend.

I can only speak for myself, and due to Hildy's relationship with BF, I did not lend aby credence to what was posted, given the source the info came from.

IMO, that story was likely floated by BF for self-serving purposes.

I remember you asking "somechick" if she "in fact, WAS Hildy"...how did you find out she was her friend?

Found it...

Hey Paula!
Can I just say thanks for your concern and leave it at that? When you haven't been accusing me of being Hildy, you've been telling me to be there for her. No offense, but I know. I'm being as good a friend to her as I can be right now. I'm stretched out in several areas right now ... school, friends that are depressed, friends that are dying, work, internship, student orgs etc. Thanks for the advice though

I am so sick of these SCUMBAGS using this a a confession or an excuse.... But the important thing is that Smith was convicted of first-degree murder, kidnapping and capital sexual battery. I read in a stpry about the finding of that verdict that in a taped conversation while he was in jail he said to his mother, "I didn't mean to do it, Ma." That goes back to an earlier comment I made about Fawley's statement, and discussion about the "rough sex defense" in general. That defense, as far as I know, has never resulted in an acquital or even a reduction in sentence. I suspect that the motivation behind Fawley making that statement is much the same as it apparently was for Smith: a hope that family and friends will believe it and feel sorry for him or at least not think of him as a horrible criminal. And probably at least to some extent they convince themselves that it's really what happened.

Fawley's attorney has said that he advised against making that statement; that's because he knows that in court it'll be no different than any other confession -- it will help to bring about a conviction (as it did in Smith's case). Maybe to the extent he believes it himself it will let him sleep at night. Maybe to the extent his family and friends believe it, it will do the same for them. But when it comes to the realities of trial, conviction, and sentencing, it will be of no help whatsoever to any of them.

Me three. Adults serve on juries, and adults know when a kid is making up a lie. My Dad once said "I know all the tricks, I was a kid too."
BF has two big lies going, his "abduction" and "accidental" stories. The "abduction" story was so unbelievable it spoiled his chance of credibility with a jury. Both statements will be read into the trial record, how could they be inadmissible?

BF will have to take the stand, there's no one else who can testify to the "accidental" defense (modified as he goes to try to match the real evidence.) He'll have to sit quietly and not defend himself, or he'll testify and tell the jury that there was sex and death involved, but it was all innocent, and she wanted it. A totally impartial jury from Mars wouldn't belive it!

BF has his few friends, some hoping somehow that Taylor's death wasn't horrific and brutal, that she wanted it. I hope no one is an accessory after the fact, LE will not be kind to them.

1. BF does not testify: GUILTY of rape/murder
2. BF testifies: same as above, but jury will ask if he can be executed twice.

Hola! It's the "somechick" in question. yeah... I didn't get much feedback from that post. I figured it would go either way: get completely ignored or get a lot of harsh criticism, but I basically just wanted to see if anyone had heard anything similar from Jessie since quite a few VCU/Richmonders have floated on these boards since Behl's disappearance and murder.

With that post, I also wanted to let people who didn't live in Richmond or near the VCU campus to get a taste of what is being said. Still, a majority of the students and faculty are glad that BF is not a free man. Also another major opinion on campus is that VCU security is not to blame for what happened to Taylor. However, this may have changed since a girl was attacked in the restroom in the life science building on campus recently.

I may have said this up here before, but that stuff about Jessie and Taylor DID NOT come from anyone who knows BF or his camp. The source wasn't Hildy, it was someone who knows Jessie. The other info told to me by the same person about Taylor prior to VCU was the friend of a friend stuff (twice removed from me). That's all. You can say its nonsense, but I posted that when I thought this board was an open space to talk about any and all angles of the case, but the only "facts" or theories given any cred are those that support a very onesided view of events. Nevertheless, I like to poke my head in every once in awhile to see what's changed in this case since local news is really quiet when it comes to this investigation.

Sorry for the name misspelling. It's late errr early. I've been up all night, and sometimes I make mistakes while typing on a messageboard.

Is it just me, or has this board become more uptight of late? I'm a little cranky too ... everyone elses mood must be rubbing off on me.

singlesix, thanks for the response though I wasn't actually looking for one now. I was just explaining my intentions to the person who started this thread wondering what my earlier comment was all about and whether he/she should disregard it. So yeah, I guess you can disregard it. Everyone else did. Tis all. Happy holidays.
