Sorry to disagree but I am not a big fan of the Children's Safety Act.

I cannot be in favor of something as serious as this without having the proper penalty to match.

This is what I am in favor of:

Any person who commits a felony sexual crime against a child is sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Period.

No "three strikes and you're out", no parole hearings, no bracelets, no registry, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Sorry but this type of crime does not stop and rehabilitation is not effective. The only reason we continue to read about the horrific crimes against innocent children like Jessica Lunsford, the Groene children, etc..., etc... is because offenders are released. Sexual predators only escalate their crimes and in the process ruin the lives of so many people. Think of Jessica Lunsford's final days before you decide on how you think

The fabric of our society is being torn apart by these heinous animals and the solution needs to be just as harsh.

Sorry but with this topic I am not about to compromise my position.

As long as the national association of man boy love is allowed to meet and have protected membership list and printed pamphlets and online literature this is all irrelevant.

We have to choose between rights and protection.

I am sure at some point in our nations history 1st,4th,6th, and 8th amendents issues were supreme. Rights and protections were extended in an effort to allevate the governments power to harrass and abuse those among us who were different.. I get that was very important and I think for the most part except for the occassional overzealous prosecutor or small minded judge the alternative is recognized and protected fairly well.

But the pendulium has swung. Justice now has to weigh the individuals right to free whatever versus the a childs life. It is no longer about some lofty legal principle that defines our social evolution it is life on the line. The only job imo the government is obligated to do. Children should be able to play in the front yard or sleep in their own home.

Anyone who sexually engages a child under 16 is LWOP. I mean because some 13 year olds are sexually active or think they want sex we can't punish the 46 year old. Come on its a pretty clear line. No one over 18 can ever under any circumstance even MARRIAGE or COMMON LAW or permission from the parents have sex with someone 15 or under.

NO ONE OVER 18 CAN HAVE SEXUAL CONTACT WITH SOMEONE UNDER 16.

First Offense = 20-life

SEXUAL CONTACT WITH SOMEONE UNDER 13

First Offense = LWOP

Violent Sexual Assualt on a child = LWOP

Death of a Child = Death

and yes that does include all the freaky femal pedophiles posing as teachers.

WHY IS THIS SO HARD?
SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHY WE CAN'T PROTECT OUR CHILDREN.:(

Three strikes......do the people that think this is a good idea realize that they are giving pedophiles two "freebies" before they know they won't get out again??

I certainly wouldn't want one of my children to count as somebody's "freebie". It is life changing enough to be molested/sexually abused, but to them be (what amounts to being) told (in the eyes of the law) that you don't count enough? What does that to do your already damaged self-esteem??

And of course the ~two~ freebies only refer to the other two that are known about.....
