I would be willing to bet this is a made up story.
He seems to really like the publicity and I find it odd that someone who took the trouble to find and stab him would stab him superficially.

One could make the argument that Karla suffered abuse from her husband who used her and she had another man that was using her and she snapped and went after him. Just theoretical mind you. Just thinking out of the box.

Anything is possible. RLP IS a big man, who could easily fend off a smaller person. Would the police even care if it was K? Would they do a thorough forensic investigation? Would they check K's alibi for the time in question?

There is no mention of it of a Karla connection here, for now at least. The public would like a short lease around Karla's neck to be pulled in case of an emergency. Actually media coverage is pretty non exisitant.
