I have a suspicion that Karla will might be released from prison- This Canada Day long weekend
for 2 reasons
1-everyone in Quebec City moves Canada day weekend- its like national moving long weekend- all leases expire on that date.
2- with it being Canada Day the public will be off at celebrations, Cottage Country, no one will see the devil sneak out-nice & quite
I guess we will have to wait & see what happens !

According to the local media here, she is scheduled to be released next Tuesday July 5th.

You know May, I think they're saying anything to throw off the media and the public because they know it's going to be awful!
They did the same thing here with Scott Peterson. They did it at 4:00 in the morning which threw everybody off!

July 5th is the official date by which she must be released, but arrangements have been made that would allow her release as soon as tomorrow. I assume it is in an effort to have an opportunity to sneak her out and thwart chaos.

Hey all
I have been hearing 2 different dates, I heard as early as this Thursday & July 5 ( a few times) either date is too soon for me !
They reported on the local news that they will release Karla from prison during day time hours.
It is so unbelievable, I think it is going to a circus, The media has already started to camp out.
I have a feeling things aren't going to be pretty at all !

GG: I will be very, very surprised if they release her during the day unless they are going to dress her in a Halloween costume, which would be appropriate I might add ~ like the Grim Reaper! LOL!

I don't think she has a chance in he!! to sneak away anywhere.
She is going to stalked by the media for a long time, no matter where she goes, or how she looks.
she is the most hated person in Canada. I don't ever recall any other shocking story in our history
Imo she may have done "her time" but she does not deserve to live happy & carefree
her life should be difficult & very uncomfortable

I sit here watching coverage of Karla...i dont expect it will even be today that we see her if at all. City-tv reports she could be flown out in a chopper. Its a waiting game now. Special thanks to GG.. and her many links. :seeya:

Just heard that prison officials have thought of 5 ways to get her out...personally i would just kick her azz out the front door. I say let her fend for herself.

Yeah, throw her to the lions! She deserves no more special treatment than what she gave her victims. She could have saved their lives, but she didn't. I am sure that Karla is just revelling in all of this attention. Disgusting, ugly biotch!

Seeing as Homolka supposedly cries whenever the media focuses on her, and is reportedly fearing for her life these days, the idea that she is "revelling in all this attention" is really off target.
I've checked out a couple threads so far here, and most of the comments are wasted on self-righteousness, misinformation and rage, rather than facts and rational discussion. That's a pity, because this truly is one of the more interesting murder cases.

I heard the other day that the chopper is bunk !! They will release her during regular business hours at the gate just like any other inmate according to a prison offical on CTV news. Hope so !!

L4L Good... thats the way it should be. Did anyone catch the prank at the front gate? A van pretended that they had Karla..a woman put a coat over her face and others in the van carried on like they had someone to hide. They are now in deep shi#. Evenin Giddy..;)
